20 minPietro, playing a video-game, is casually exploring a dreamscape of lush forests against the backdrop of the zombie apocalypse. Wandering, he spots a group of players disguised as undead who regularly gather to sing a lullaby, only to be ambushed by a group of hardcore survivalists. Freya (they/them), a developer by profession but a mystic for passion, invites Pietro to visit a sanctuary that they are building—a place safe from all of this chaos—where they guide him into a meditative exercise. The film combines footage from video-game DayZ, custom level designs made in Unreal Engine and internally developed tools for procedural animation.
