0 minWilkie, the deckhand from the Philippines, Lefteris, the cook from Syros, Dimitris, the lieutenant from Rhodes, Baksi, the sailor from India, Manolis, the captain from Athens, Nikos from Piraeus down in the engine room, and Giannis the sailor from Perama, have boarded a merchant ship leaving Piraeus for the Far East. With them are 18 other sailors, Greeks and Filipinos. The film follows their lives at sea for two and a half months, crossing seas and oceans and stopping at many ports on their way to distant Korea and back again.
